I can stream video (Netflix and HBOmax) from my iPad with Google Home, but the audio does not transmit.  What can  do?

There are controls for volume if everything is set up properly, my suggestion is to try with a new casting device.  Try casting something to your TV from a computer, or another phone, and see if the audio works, if it does you know the issue is on your ipad, if it dosn't, then its on the chromecast.

The volume is linked to your devices, it may sound simple but have you tried raising the volume on your iPad ?  When casting it should control the casted media volume not your iPads volume.

I have tried adjusting the volume on my iPad and television, which seems disabled.  I have gone into my settings to see if there is anything I might affect, with no luck.  I have reinserted the HDMI connector and de-powered the chromecast unit.  Nothing works.  I would think that Google Home App might provide a route for some control.  It's useless.
