Chromecast with Google TV (4K), download pending error

Just got the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) and I can't download any new apps. Whenever I try it just says "pending" indefinitely. I've searched online for solutions, most of which say to delete the cache from Google play/play services/download manager or uninstall the updates, neither of which have worked. I also added my other my other Google account and it still didn't work. I have factory reset the chromecast devise multiple times and has plenty of storage space, any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi Jeran,

Turns out, my primary Internet Service Provider (ISP) is good at streaming content on Netflix, YouTube etc but can’t download the actual apps. The solution was to use a different ISP to download the apps, then switch back to my primary ISP for the day to day streaming. Hopefully this is helpful to others facing the same issue. Thanks l.

Hey there Dingytron,

I apologize for the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to download those apps? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I can imagine this issue is quite frustrating. First, make sure that the Chromecast device is within 15 feet from the router. Then, go ahead and forget your Wi-Fi network and re-add it, and see if you are able to update the Chromecast's firmware. Finally, go ahead and reboot the router, and try downloading apps again.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran
