Chromecast with Google TV and Sencor TV.

Good day,

I recently bought a Chromecast with Google TV (HD version). I tried it on a Philips TV, where it worked perfectly. However, my original intention was to use it on a Sencor TV (specifically model: SLT 3229DVBT). Anyway, when I launched Chromecast on Sencor, I couldn’t find this brand in the list of manufacturers so that I could use the Chromecast IR remote to control the TV. At the same time, the HDMI-CEC function doesn’t work for me either, which would allow me to turn on/off the TV without the need for two remotes.

The question is whether there is either a possibility to turn on the HDMI-CEC function (e.g., by upgrading the TV), or secondly, whether there is a possibility that Google will add Sencor TVs to the list of supported TVs, or if there is any manufacturer that uses the same signal as Sencor. If you know anything or can at least guide me, I would be very grateful.

Thank you very much.

For that, you'd need to refer to the manual that came with the TV, or check online for the manufacturer's documentation on that. I would first check that the TV supports HDMI-CEC, and if does check the settings to see if it is enabled.

Unfortunately, it would be impossible for Google to list absolutely every TV brand/manufacturer. You can use some trial and error by selecting the other manufacturer's listed. Alternatively, try a Google search or see if they have forums to see if someone else may have found one that works for your brand of TV.

Hope this helps!
