Chromecast with Google TV pausing when locking phone

I have a Chromecast with Google TV. 

When watching videos, it seems regardless of what app I am using e.g Disney+, Google TV, YouTube playback pauses whenever I lock my phone despite the fact that I'm playing the content on the Chromecast natively rather than casting from my phone. 

Has anyone encountered this and does anyone know of a fix?

Hi Chris5626,

Thanks for reaching out. Please reboot your Chromecast and try to plug it into a different HDMI port on your TV. Plugging it on a different TV screen (if applicable) and resetting it might also help.
