Chromecast with YouTube TV

I have been using the google chromecast on all of my TVs for years ever since google fiber stopped having Fiber TV in my area. In fact they provided a chromecast device for each of the TVs that previously had the box. We signed up for you tube TV for live TV at that time. 

For years when I turned on the TV using the chromecast remote YouTUbe TV guide and only recs from there immediately came up. All of a sudden in recent months this is not the case Instead it pulls up google TV and has live recs from all sorts of apps. services, even many I do not have. 

How can I get that back? Does anyone know?

Hi DanaZava,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Before, your only choice were channels from your YouTube TV subscription. Now, you have more channels due to the update that now gives free channels for Google TV. This means that users are not limited anymore to their Live TV subscription; even users that don’t have any Live TV subscriptions can still watch shows because of the free ones. I hope this clarifies the confusion.
