Chromecast won't cast sound to desktop

I have a chromecast that doesn't cast sound when I cast the desktop, Sound come when I cast a tab but I need to cast the desktop sometime. Also I've notice that I can cast the sound if I have a headphone plugged in. I would like not to to keep a headphone plugged in. I have reset, reinstaller, unplugged, check that I am on the good wifi. I have tested other computer on the chromecast and the other ones work so the problem is my computer. Anybody have any idea what could be the problem? And what could be done.

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that audio issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I know it can be difficult to isolate the issue on your own. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

• When did this issue start happening?
• What Operating System are you using?
• Is your Google Chrome up-to-date?
• Does this same issue occur on Google Canary?
• What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
