Chromecast

I recently bought the above chromecast and instaled everything correctly including connecting with the wifi etc. When I attach it to the samsung tv I have and plug it in it shows the screen equivalent to my home app etc.

The problem is when I play something on iplayer and start to cast the android phone I cast from starts to play the programme but my tv only keeps showing Iplayer ready to cast and nothing happens apart from the programme stops playing on my phone.

It seems I can ony play and cast youtube.

If anyone has any suggestions Ill be evry happy. I have youtube installed on my tv anyway so at the moment the chromecast is useless.

Before worrying too much I would suggest rebooting both the phone and the Chromecast, just to be sure it's not a connection issue.  If this does not work try casting form any other program(Netflix, chrome, screen mirror, etc ), if that works but the app doesn't I would suspect an app problem .
