Chromecasting Disney+

I've been using Disney+ and everytime I stop an episode part way through and then come back later it always restarts the episode from the start. Initially it is at the correct place, it's only when I connect to Chromecast that it restarts.

I've already contacted Disney+ support and nothing they did helped so agreed it's a Chromecast issue. I cast other apps without this same issue. They reset my Chromecast and reset my internet/phone already.

- Its the Gen 3 model, so top one at the link you gave.

- It's happened ever since I started using Disney+ about 1 month ago. I did use Disney + about a year ago previously and don't recall having this issue then and watched it in the same way.

- Yes have the latest version, did uninstall and reinstall too.

My husband has the same issue when he plays from the app on his phone too.

  • Try to reboot your Google Chromecast. Refer to this help article for instructions: Reboot your Chromecast device.

  • Reboot your cellphone.

  • Reset your Wi-Fi router.

Yes had already done all of those things but have done again and no change.

It may actually be a Disney+ issue as in reviews other people are having the same issue.
