I’ve moved house and lost can’t find my Cromecast remote, how do I set up my device on a new wifi network without a remote? (the google home app shows the device as offline because it’s not connected to a wifi network so I can’t use my phone to set it up) any ideas on how to fix it would be much appreciated, thanks.

If you've already changed to a different Wi-Fi network, try these steps:
If these steps above don’t solve the issue, you’ll need to factory reset your Chromecast, then set it up again. Note to do that, you'll need to have a working remote control. They're available from the Google Store.
Instead of factory resetting your Chromecast, if you're comfortable changing your router settings, you can change your new Wi-Fi network name and password in your router's settings to be the same as the previous ones. Your device should then automatically connect to the Wi-Fi.

Hey there,
Thanks for the help, davidking.
Hudo, to confirm, have you already performed a factory reset on your device? If you haven't yet, you can try to use your phone as a virtual remote and go to the settings of your Chromecast with Google TV, then add a new network. If this doesn't work, I'm afraid you need to have the Voice Remote to set up your device and connect it to your new network. You can purchase a new one from our Google Store.
Best,
Jennifer
