D Pad on GTV remote doesn’t work on “For You” screen.

Why does the d-pad on a the remote stop working on the “For You” screen? I have to unplug my device several times a day, it’s a pretty impractical fix.

I am sorry about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that remote issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I agree that your workaround is not practical at all. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • What is the firmware version of your Chromecast Voice Remote?
  • Does this issue also occur with the Virtual Remote on the Google Home app?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

Hey, don’t beat yourself up. What’s two months between Company and Paying Customer?
I found an alternative solution. Threw it away a couple of months ago and haven’t had the problem since.

I'm real sorry about the slow response time on this, we're trying our best to get caught up on all the older threads, and it's not something that's going to be an issue in the near future. With the Nest Community Forum being a community driven forum, it can be difficult to keep up with low community engagement. I know if I was in your position I'd feel the exact same way, it isn't something that is acceptable, and we've taken some steps to improve. However, if you had any other questions or concerns, I'd be more than happy to address them.
