chromecast

Hello :)
All of a sudden, it started to flicker on TV when I was about to cast. What can it be ? 
Could it be TV's fault? Is a good old LG tv. Understand nothing ... or is it the chromecast? 
Have been on it but do not miss. 
Need to update chromecast? 
Can you start over with a chromecast, uninstall everything & start over? 
Please someone - if you see this .. 
would be so warm if grateful if someone knowledgeable could answer me well immediately
