Defective remote

Hello, I have a New chromecast + remote. Most buttons does not work since yesterday for no reason. The mute and the turn off work, but everything else is not turning the laser light. It seems like it's not connected. Tried everything suggested online, issue persists. Tried to contact service, I'm always brought back here. I should have a warranty, I just bought it. Who do I call? Thanks!!

Hello @DanaD,

Thanks for reaching out. You might have tried this but just to be sure, did you replace the battery with a new set of battery?

Hello! Thanks for the reply. Yes I did. I also did a reset of my google chromecast and a reset of the remote.

Hello Jeran, thank you for your answer. I would definately need that contact because my remote still does not work and anytime I click on the "contact us" link, it brings me back to the FAQ's. I lost hope in the idea of talking to someone.

There customer service call center is terrible.  I got 53 minutes of B$ then was disconnected by the Chromecast support agent. My devices under warranty and like you a couple of the buttons aren't working like the power in the YouTube button. Never again will I buy directly from Google. A store would have taken the product and replaced it in 5 minutes

Good to know I'm not alone. We would think that buying directly from them would be better for the warranty. I've been using my phone as a remote since then, it's not really practical, but it works. I still hope they will answer, if not, I'll never buy anything from them again.
