The Google TV Streamer 4K would be an ideal companion device for desktop monitors to add a media hub/streaming functionality; however, the limited output resolutions are restricted to FHD (1920x1080) or 4K UHD (3840x2160). Please update the firmware to allow QHD (2560x1440) and 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratios (2560x1080, 3440x1440, 5120x2160, etc.). Most consumer TVs are already "smart" with their built-in media hub OS so the Google TV Streamer is redundant/irrelevant. PC monitors lack media streaming features so the Google TV Streamer would be a perfect addition as a dedicated media hub, yet the device firmware does not support non-16:9 aspect ratios or even 1440p resolutions. Please update the firmware to support more display outputs.

Hi c13mw
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
I appreciate you highlighting that the Google TV Streamer 4K would be the perfect solution to bring streaming capabilities to desktop monitors, but the current limitations—specifically the lack of support for 1440p (QHD) and popular 21:9 ultrawide resolutions—are getting in the way. I understand you're requesting an urgent firmware update to expand display output compatibility. I'd be happy to assist you.
Please consider sharing your thoughts directly with our development team through this feedback form. Your input will help us prioritize features and ensure that we're meeting the needs of our diverse user base.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.

I have sent feedback for this specific issue via the web feedback form and also via the the Google TV Streamer settings feedback, but have not received any response so started a thread in the community forum. I have tried using Developer Mode "ADB shell wm size 3440x1440" commands to try to force the OS UI to display in the resolution, but was unsuccessful because issue stems from the lack of support in the firmware or HDMI driver. Please advise if there are any other options other than hoping Google pushes an update to the device.
