Does Chromecast with Google TV setting at 1080P limit 4K content?

I have the 4K version of the Chromecast with Google TV (CCWGTV) installed in two 4K televisions. I have the resolution on the CCWGTV set to 1080p to try to limit the apps from streaming 4K. I'm doing this to save bandwidth because Xfinity has a terrible download cap every month. Does this limit the apps from sending 4K streams?

Hi Scott_DeToffol,

Thanks for reaching out. Yes, if you set the resolution to 1080p, then the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) will only play the videos with your preferred resolution.

Jennifer
