Ethernet Adapter for Google Chromecast with google TV 4K

Hi All,

I'm desperately searching for a solution to get Ethernet on one of my chromecasts. I'm running an Emby media server on a Synology NAS 218+ but due to wifi data transfer issues (really strange that the chromecast doesn't get good wifi, since the router isn't so far away) the movies are glitchy.

I've decided to try out the "let's get ethernet on the chromecast" solutions, and ordered an usb c hub, but strangely that hub, if i attach it to my laptop gives lan connection, but if i attach it to the chromecast doesn't (gives only charge :/.

I've checked the Google online shop, and the following sad situation is my status:

1) there is no Google store for hungary....

2) most of the google stores don't have the official Ethernet adapter available...

3) the ones that have, can only ship to their own country -> US to US, UK to UK...etc

Question: How can i get a working Ethernet adapter to Hungary? 🙂

Every suggestion and help is much appreciated.

I use an USB splitter with USB ethernet adapter with ASIX chipset (works for me better compared to Realtek based ones) connected to the USB-A port this works for me.

I bought this one via Amazon (link to German amazon: RUXELY USB-C OTG Adapter mit 60W PD Ladeanschluss,2 in 1 Typ C auf USB 3.0 Buchse Ladegerät Splitter... ) and an USB GBit Adpter ( BYEASY USB C Ethernet Adapter Gigabit USB LAN Adapter USB zu RJ45 10/100 / 1000 Mbps Aluminium Treib...  I use an older from from several years ago also with this Asix chip, with realtek chips I got drops when streaming 4K MKV files via local ethernet)
