I recently had the power off for hours at home and found when everything came back n my google chromecaster had to be re set up. The tv says it’s connected to the chromecaster and everything is on the same wifi but when I go to cast a movie from my “prime video ap” it finds it but nothing plays. I’ve rebooted the chromecaster and followed the troubleshooting guide several times , cleared the cache and still nothing will play. I tried other aps and nothing seems to be working. I read on here others have had this drama too. Can someone explain how to make it work again. I have 3 chromecasters on 3 different TVs and none are working. Devastated my cats are missing out on cat tv whilst I’m at work and I’m missing out on some awesome movies. Please help !

Hi JACypelt,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. It may not be the Chromecast device, especially if we’re talking about three Chromecast devices at the same time. Try to isolate it by casting different apps. It’s also important to isolate possible casting source issues by casting using a different phone. The objective is to know if it’s the network, the app itself, or the casting source itself. We look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Kimy
