I recently purchased a Chromecast with Google TV so I could have on screen selection of programs Vs having to use my iPhone to select shows to watch. I have a HULU streaming account with Disney+ and neither APP works with the Google TV app! HULU just says ERROR 94 or 95 and Disney says it cannot connect to the internet. There is nothing wrong with my router or WIFI setup and the suggestions to restart the router are absurd! The free Google TV works fine and my trial to Google TV works fine as well. Are the HULU and Disney+ apps just inferior, or is Google just trying to get me to switch to Google TV.

Hi @JClake,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you're not getting the best performance when watching movies on different platforms. I understand it can be frustrating when you can't watch any movie on your favorite platform. Don't worry, let's get things fixed. To help with that, I have a few questions for you:
I recommend performing a factory reset on the Chromecast. This will clear the device's cache, which may improve performance for all apps, and also delete the app from the chromecast and re-install it
Let me know how it goes after trying these steps. I'm happy to assist further if needed.
Cheers,
Jonathan

Thanks for the reply. I have demoted this device to our guest room because it is not the product that I hoped it would be. Perhaps in this gigabit world it shines, although we do not subscribe to this level of service. We have 300Mbps service and I get perhaps 190Mbps at the TV over our fireplace in our family room. We have been using Chromecast dongles for many years controlling what we watch from our iPhones. We have the HULU app on all of our devices and it can cast to any of our four TV’s in the house. The Amazon Prime app works fine on the Google TV dongle and it loaded as expected by displaying a code to enter into our Amazon account. Other Apps like Pluto TV work fine as well. I will more than likely cancel Hulu and Disney anyway since their price is high and service level is low!
