I have been an avid Google product user since 2016. I've owned my Google Home Mini since then and my Chromecast since 2019. I tried setting up my Mini in my new office, but received the prompt "Could not connect to your Home Mini." No offered solution. Just "got it." Figured my work's WiFi was blocking it, so I accepted defeat. Came home to set up my Chromecast in my living room and same thing. I get through the entire set up, then it just quits. I tried resetting the Chromecast, uninstalling and reinstalling the Home app, reset my WiFi, restarted my phone. Nothing. No solution. Tried to find anything to help me and there's nothing to find. I just want to use my products. Seriously considering switching to an Amazon home..

Hey there hajuen,
I apologize about the late response, were you able to fix those set-up issues? If not, I'd be happy to help out, let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:
When did this issue start happening?
Did you get any error message when your Chromecast quit out?
What Android device do you have?
What color is the LED light on the Chromecast?
I'm wondering if the Google Home Mini was looking for your home's Wi-Fi network when you plugged it in at work, I would check out the steps in this article then try resetting it back up. As for the Chromecast, it depends on how you answer the questions above.
I look forward to your response, and if you had any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran
