Google Home Speaker causes video disruptions.

After connecting a Google mini to my Chromecast with Google TV, the video was disrupted badly and wouldn't return to normal until I removed the mini from Chromecast.  I have factory reset the Chromecast which did nothing to help.  Any suggestions.  I would like to connect 2 minis to the tv.

Hi Steve356,

Thank you for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that after connecting a Google Nest Mini speaker to your Chromecast with Google TV, the video becomes disrupted and only returns to normal until you remove the speaker from the Chromecast. Thank you for letting us know that you factory reset the Chromecast to better understand the experience that you’re going through. No worries; it is my pleasure to assist you in finding the solution.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

Have both devices worked fine before?

When did the inconvenience start?

Have you tried to use both devices with another TV set?

Do you have both devices in the same home structure?

How far from the router are the Google Nest speaker and the Chromecast?

Could you please double-check that both devices are connected to the same WiFi network (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band)?

Besides your router, do you have more access points to your WiFi network?

Is there another Bluetooth signal available?

Have you tried to set up your Google devices with another mobile device?

Could you please check if there are wireless interferences like walls and floors, nearby Wi-Fi networks, other electronics, cordless phones, baby monitors, microwaves, Bluetooth devices, and wireless video equipment?

Have you tried to reboot the Google Nest speaker that is disconnecting?

What's the Google Nest speaker  firmware version?

Please let me know if you want the 2 mini speakers and the Chromecast to work simultaneously. If that is the purpose, I recommend you create a speaker group. But if you want them to work separately, there is another method.

Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Virna
