Hi there.
Really appreciate the most recent update that now accomodates HDR fallback from Dolby Vision; it's honestly great! But I have two small problems I'm looking for help with:
- when I play something in DV, I'm getting intermittent video drops; think a split second black screen. Doesn't happen constantly, but it happens enough to ruin a show/movie.
- when I attempt to disable DV and fallback to HDR, which I prefer, some shows/movies ignore the setting and STILL play in DV.
Anyone else experiencing something similar? Any tips for keeping DV off when you set it to off?
Appreciate it!

Hi @MikeNeri81,
Thank you so much for reaching out to this community! Regarding what happened with your Google TV Streamer, I truly apologize because I know it can be frustrating when something doesn't work the way you want it to, especially when it's related to the resolution quality not playing in the quality we desire, as is the case with HDR, and even more so when the image drops out for a moment, preventing you from enjoying a good movie or series. I'm here to help you!
Good news – you can definitely change the screen resolution to whatever you like! Just keep in mind that some TVs need a setting called "enhanced mode" (this may be labeled differently depending on the TV model) to be turned on for HDR to work.
So, could you take a quick look in your TV's settings and see if the "enhanced mode" is active?
Additionally, could you verify the Match content setting? Turn on your Google streaming device > at the top right of your TV screen, go to All settings and select Display & Sound.
Please feel free to share any additional details you think might be relevant.
Best regards,
Eduardo
