Google TV Streamer reports not enough power when powered through Anker 341 USB-C Hub

Hi,

Previously I was running Chromecast with Google TV 4K hooked up to an Anker 341 USB-C Hub for LAN and expandable storage, it worked fine.

After getting the Google TV Streamer, I tried doing the same setup, except for running LAN directly, but the streamer reports not enough power, although there should be no issue with providing enough power through PD with that hub, connected to a 65W PD power adaptor. Google TV Streamer seams to be picky / buggy when it comes to power delivery from USB C hubs. Switched to a UGREEN Revodok Pro USB-C Hub 6 in 1 and the setup once again works.

Google does not support using USB ports to power Chromecast devices.    Too many of those ports don't push enough power (as you discovered).

Yes, they sometimes work, but it's still not something Google suggests or supports.

Actually there is no problem with the Anker 341 USB-C Hub providing enough power using USB power delivery, which the streamer technically supports. I use this hub port to power laptops without any issues, so me it rather looks like a problem with the Google TV Streamer firmware not pulling enough power, though I could be wrong of course.
