Google taking over

Hi, I have an AppleTv and recently bought a Google Tv streamer. Both connected to the same LG smart tv. When I start my AppleTv the Google Tv also starts automatically and takes over the screen, so to speak. 

How do I make Google Tv to not start automatically?

Put it on a manual HDMI port rather than a CEC one..or have it not used CEC.

The problem is that, as far I can see, all ports have cec, and there is no way to turn cec off for just one of the ports. But it is not a big problem. Thanks for your answer!
