Google voice assistance not working with gogle chromcast HD remote.

I've been using the Google Chromecast HD device for about a year and a half now. However, for the past six months, the voice assistance feature hasn't been working properly. Whenever I press the voice button on the remote, it shows activity on the screen but doesn't respond to commands. I'm unsure whether this is a hardware problem or a software issue. Interestingly, when I attempt the same commands using the Google Home app on my mobile phone, everything works perfectly fine. I've made sure that the device is running the latest software version.

  • Unplug the Chromecast and turn off the TV.
  • Plug in the Chromecast and turn on the TV.
  • Press for a moment the power button. This will start on the Chromecast by looking for devices to pair.
