Hello,
I have just unboxed and set up a brand new ChromeCast with Google TV. HBO Max is available in the Netherlands as I have been using it on my computer. However when viewing the App on GTV, it simply says it's not compatible with this version. I'm confused, i have the newest version and there are no software updates
Cannot figure out why it wont work. My google account was originally created in Australia, where HBO max is not available, not sure if that has anything to do with it, seems strange and unliek;y though.
Would love some assistance if anyone has fixed this before.

Thanks for reaching out. Google TV identifies your location based on the country indicated on your Google Play services. By default, it will show the same country that you were when you created your account. Since it’s Australia based, services not available in that region are also applied to devices that you logged in anywhere in the world. You might want to check this link to know more about it. Hi, the link didn thelp me, i could not locate the option to change country from the play store settings within google tv. Still no solution

Hey there JDAWJEE,
In this case, it may be easier to change your Google Play Store settings via a mobile device. Here are the instructions on how to do so via Android:
On your Android device, open the Google Play Store app .
Just to be safe, afterwards you may want to clear out the cached app data on HBO Max app.

No problem at all! Do you have an iOS device, or perhaps a tablet? You can follow similar steps on the Google Play Store app on those devices as well.
