HDMI CEC problem with Google TV Streamer

I have an HDMI CEC problem with my new Google TV Streamer.

I have my Google TV device connected to my Yamaha A/V receiver.
The receiver relays the HDMI signal to the TV also when it is in standby.
So I have disabled HDMI CEC in the Google TV settings to prevent the receiever for switching on.

This worked 100% with my old "Chromcast with Google TV".

But with my new "Google TV Streamer" the receiver keeps turning on anyway when I use Google TV.

Why does it switch on the receiever when I have disabled HDMI CEC?

Is there a system app or service I can disable on the Google TV to completly disable HDMI CEC?

Hi @LarsErikOsterud,

Thanks for contacting the community! I understand your new Google TV Streamer (4K) is still triggering your Yamaha receiver via HDMI CEC, even though you've disabled that setting. I know how important it is for your devices to work the way you want, especially since your older Chromecast with Google TV worked perfectly with this same setup. Don’t worry, and I'll be glad to share more details with you.

Currently, there isn't a way to completely disable this signal from the Google TV Streamer itself. To stop the receiver from turning on, the best solution is to disable the CEC settings directly on your TV or your Yamaha receiver. Since every brand handles these settings differently, I recommend checking with your TV or receiver manufacturer for the exact steps to turn it off on their end.
Hope this information helps.

But there was no problem with the "Chromecast with Google TV".
There it worked 100% just by switching of "HDMI CEC".
Why has this changed?  Why does the "off" option don't work anymore?
