Hardware limitation on bandwith speed?

I have the Chromecast 4k with Google TV, and have an external Ethernet dongle with 1Gbps setup, https://www.belkin.com/usb-c-to-ethernet-charge-adapter/P-INC001.html
This one.

However, when set up and all running, I ran speed test app on the chromecast, only getting MAX 304,88Mbps

I have 1000/1000Mbit so I should be getting alot better than that, and on the same network, I have my PC set up, getting around 800-900Mbps, so its not my provider.

My question is, is there some kind of hardware limit on the chromecast?

Hi @Knugen1015

Yes the Chromecast Google TV is not a power house. I have the official power adapter with ethernet port which only is 100Mbps.

Using Wireless gives higher speeds but I don't have any apps or streaming services that need more than the 100Mbps. (Using plex GeForce now etc)

Why do you want those high speeds?

I think your right that the max limit is 350mb on the Chromecast.  That is what I am getting.
