I have been casting with the Chromecast forever. I had my cable boxes changed about a month ago and now have a new network. I have an old Chromecast (not sure which generation it is) WITHOUT a remote.
I am trying to set-up my Chromecast with the new network and I can't. The Google Home App doesn't even list Chromecast anymore.
Am I not able to stream from my laptop anymore in the Chrome browser?
I have tried all the troubleshooting steps. What is wrong with the Google Home App? There is nowhere to change WiFi or network.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi @Hedra
Do a full physical reset to set your Chromecast up again.
There is a little button to depress on the Chromecast to start this process. See this page for exact info depending on your version of Chromecast that you have. How to factory reset your Chromecast or Google TV Streamer - Android - Streaming Help
Once you factory reset your device you will set it up like new in the Google Home app.

Hi Jill.
Thank you for responding.
I did a factory reset on my Chromecast yesterday. That didn't work. I also unistalled the Google Home App, reinstalled it. I think I have tried just about everything.
I will try again.
I don't know why they took out the Network Settings out of the Google Home App.
Thanks you.

If you still cannot connect reboot your router. Delete the cache of the Google Home app. Reboot your phone (that you are setting up with). Make sure your phone is on your new wifi.
If still no luck let us know what your router model is.
Thanks!
