Inaccurate location status

I am in Australia and I use Apple products but have a Sony Bravia TV.

I have set up a new Google Chromecast devise with my tv however, it will not let me install local apps such as iView (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) as it is claiming that I am in the wrong country. 

I have checked my payment location on google and that didn't work. I installed a vpn and set it to Australia and that didn't work. I went to settings > privacy > location > location status . Use Wi-Fi to estimate location and checked the 'Scanning always available'. None of these worked. 

Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. This message is usually related to the region/country specified on your Google Play services, not the country of your Google (Gmail) account. You may need to check if it’s set for the country you’re in right now. Check out this link: How to change your Google Play country for more information.

Thank you for your reply. I followed the instructions from the link but it is still not working. I only have apple products to use to change my settings but all show that I am in Australia, where I live. If you have any further suggestions please let me know.
