Hi, I inherited a google Chromecast from a former roommate. Upon attempting to use it, I was told that the wifi isn't it connected, but I'm unable to connect the wifi. I tried downloading the app and adding it (because I didn't set it up originally) and I can't do that either. So would I need to ask them to delete it from their app? And then would I be able to add the device to my google app and then update the wifi info? We're still cool with each other but just wondering what to do before I reach out to them.
Thank you!

Use the button on the Chromecast to Factory Reset it. The button is right next to where you plug in the power cord on a 2nd Gen device.
