Installing a new Google Chromecast with TV-can't sign in

Hi jus4kev,

 

Thanks for reaching out to the Chromecast Cast Community! Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions: are you using the Google Home app to set up your Chromecast with Google TV (HD)? If yes, what mobile phone are you using? Have you tried setting it up via the Chromecast Voice Remote? What exact message are you getting when signing in to your account?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Make sure the Google Account username and password you're trying to sign in is correct.
  2. Force close the Google Home app.
  3. Reboot your Chromecast with Google TV (HD).
  4. Reboot your mobile phone.
  5. Reboot your Wi-Fi router.

I can't install because "Couldn't sign in.
