Somehow, last night, my Acer Chromebook Plus 515 started automatically connecting to my smart tv, and everytime I tried to watch live TV, it shows up as Casting live TV on my laptop media controls. When I click stop casting, the TV goes to the home screen and stops airing the live television. I can't figure out how to disconnect them from each other, I just want to be able to use the TV without it connecting and casting to/from my laptop. This seems like an overly complicated feature, normally I can solve these issues quickly.

Hi K,
thanks for your reply. I'll organize my answers so they are easy to correlate.
1) It's a Phillips smart tv, so I can download apps to it but I don't believe it currently has any Google tv setup.
2) It started randomly, well after I bought the TV, but about a week after I bought some new earbuds from JBL
3) I can cast from other devices if I manually engage live casting, but with the ACER Chromebook plus 515, it automatically connects to live TV casting every time I open the laptop.
4) If the Chromebook is turned off, the casting stops and the TV doesn't get affected by it, it will remain on with no interruptions. But if I push stop casting while the laptop is open, then the TV changes from live to the home screen with apps and stuff. It only happens when I change the TV input to live TV, not any other input.
5) I don't have any other streaming devices, just these listed.
thanks! - D
