Locked Out after downloading a New App on a 2018 Sony Bravia with my new Google Streamer

I recently set up a Google TV Streamer on my Sister in Law’s 2018 Sony Bravia to as the YouTube Speed Settings were Disabled. As spending considerable time setting it up and noticing a New App In the Corner of the TV asking if I accepted the New Program I stupidly downloaded it and then that shut out the Google Streamer. Went to the Help Link that told me it would return the Streamer to Factory Settings but won’t after spending $159

Hi Muzz321,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with the Google TV Streamer after downloading a new app. I understand how frustrating this situation can be when things do not work as expected. But don't worry, help is here. I just need you to please confirm if you try to factory reset the Google TV Streamer with the next steps:

With the Google TV Streamer Voice Remote:

  1. At the top right of your TV screen, select your profile and then All Settings.

  2. Select System, then About, and then Factory Reset.

From the Google TV Streamer device:

  1. While the device is plugged into the TV and powered on, press and hold the button for 10-12 seconds on the back of the device. The LED should start to blink yellow.

  2. When the LED light turns solid white, release the button, and the device should then reset.

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,

Jenny
