When I have a secondary monitor connected to my Windows 10 PC and I use Chrome to cast my screen to a TV/Android device, Chrome asks me what monitor I want to share and gives me the checkbox to enable or disable audio.
However, if I only have a single monitor connected, I am not given any option and I'm forced to transmit audio alongside my video.
When audio is enabled, it seems to cause my Android Projector's (with latest software/firmware) casting app to crash a second after I start screen casting, but works perfectly fine if I have audio disabled with my screen casting. Also I assume that audio also causes additional CPU and wifi-bandwidth usage, which makes the stream more prone to performance degradation.
I am looking for a way to toggle or disable the audio portion of my casting entirely, again without the multiple display 'workaround', whether it's through an advanced setting, extension, or something else. It would also be nice to control other settings such as performance to quality ratio and even more technical parameters.

Hello @User4382,
Thanks for posting in the community.
I understand the importance of having control over audio and other casting parameters. Unfortunately, Chrome currently lacks a built-in option to disable audio during screen casting without the presence of multiple displays.
While we explore a more permanent solution, you might consider these temporary alternatives:
I recommend providing feedback to the Chrome development team through their feedback link. This will help them understand the demand for this feature and potentially prioritize it for future updates. I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this limitation and appreciate your understanding.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you.
All the best,
