New Chromecast audio? Please....

Whyohwhy
Community Member

Dear,

Will there ever be a Chromecast audio mkii?

It is such a nice device and many,  almost all, audio streaming services are using it.

I use the Chromecast as a transport to a dac. Works very good.

I like it way more than apps you have to use when using a streamer. The UI of Qobuz, Spotify or Tidal is way beter then. Just press the Chromecast icon and voila...

But now i am afraid that if, or When, my Chromecast dies i have a probleem.

Are there any plans to make a new version of my beloved divice (and make it stream 24/192)?

Kind regards,

Marc

I'm sorry, Google doesn't comment on future plans (or even if they have no future plans).

But, I agree with you.  I love my Chromecast Audios so much that I bought three "spares" when they were discontinued.   Maybe we'll be lucky and Google will add an audio-out port to the Nest speakers sometime if the future so you get the assistant AND sound-output.
