Resolved! Chromecast doesn’t show up on app

The app on my phone and iPad used to display the chromecast symbol and I had no difficulty casting to my tv. Now even though I can cast from my laptop, I cannot get the chromecast symbol to show up on my iPhone or iPad. Any help would be appreciated.

Chromecast w/ GTV not turning on

Using the Chromecast with Google TV remote, it turns on my TV and Soundbar but does not turn on the Chromecast. I have to unplug it and then plug it in. Only then does it turn on. I have to do this almost every day.
