Hi
I have just purchased the Google TV Streamer and connected it to my LG TV (OLED55B6T). I use the Sonos Arc audio system with x2 Sonos One SL surround sound speakers. the Sonos Arc is connected to the TV via HDMI Arc.
The problem I am experiencing is that I am not getting any audio playing through my Sonos rear surround sound speakers with the Google TV Streamer, despite the audio playback showing as "Dolby Digital 5.1" on my Sonos App. I am playing an action movie on Netflix as a test with explosions etc.
Things I have troubleshooted
Judging by this the problem appears to be specifically with the Google TV Streamer delivering 5.1 surround sound to the rear speakers.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Same issue here - I am running a 9.1 set up and only the 2 main speakers and centre speaker output any sound in any surround mode. Amp is displaying Dolby Atmos/PCM for films with Atmos, and any normal Dolby 5.1 is only in 2 channel PCM. Very frustrating as I can switch back to my Chromecast with TV 4k and it works perfectly fine. Seriously considering just switching back to my Chromecast and returning the Streamer as there are way too many problems being reported and no real urgency to fix them despite it being double the price of the original Chromecast with tv 4k

I'm considering returning it too if I'm unable to get the problem resolved. My Roku never had any issues like this.

I noticed that my sub isnt working with it either so the .1 side of the sound doesnt appear to work along with the rear and atmos speakers. Not very good for a new multimedia product - the testing department needs to get their act together
