Oddmar - game installation error

Tried installing the game Oddmar but it reaches 100% download and while installing it, it fails giving me an error message referring me to the chrome cast forum so I did. What should I do? I tried like 3 times!!!

Hi Medofocus,

 

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. A few questions: what Chromecast device are you using? What is the exact message? Were you able to install other game apps? Aside from reinstalling the app, what other steps have you taken?

Hi Kimy. Thanks for replying. I've got Google Chromecast with Google TV dongle, the HD, not the 4K version. I receive no specific messages, just the one that says 'app isn't fully installed'. I install the game app and it reaches 100% then it fails to finish the installation and I go back to zero point. I tried like 4 times. I wouldn't take any further steps like resetting my chromecast; don't want to lose my apps and settings. But I do have enough space! 

The game requested a controller to be setup and I did so using my Dualshock controller. 

What else should I do? The game is so good! on the chromecast, it'd be awesome!!

Hi there,

 

Thanks for sharing this info. Could you also confirm if you were able to install other game apps? Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

 

  1. Reboot your Chromecast and Wi-Fi router.
  2. If it fails, disconnect your Chromecast to your Wi-Fi and connect it to your mobile hotspot
  3. If it still fails, do a factory reset and install it as the first app after completing the setup
