Oversaturated image

Hi

I tested out Google tv streamer and compared it to another tv box that I own and my tvs built-in apps in terms of image quality.

Then I find after testing a lot of different content that Google tv streamer deliver a clear and sharp image but I find it not so pleasant for my eyes to look at in the long run since I find the image to be some kind of oversaturated/oversharpened compared to my other devices.

Maybe the streamer put to much contrast in the images it delivers.

I don't know but as I said for some content my other devices gives a picture more pleasant and relaxing for my eyes.

Other than that the streamer works well and is fast and responsive.

Hi Klabbis,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand that you encounter some troubles with your Google TV Streamer 4K, where the image appears oversaturared/oversharpened. I understand that this can be unpleasant for your eyes. I appreciate the detailed information and insights. Let's work together to find a solution.

To address this concern, please explore the settings of your Google TV Streamer 4K and try the following:

  • In the device settings, select the dynamic range format preferences and adjust the color format.

  • If you're using a non-HDR cable, the Google TV Streamer 4K automatically enabled HDR, so the colors in your video might appear too saturated. To fix the color, you need to turn on Match content from the device settings.

Please let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Byron
