PSA: Your Chromecast gets quieter and quieter the longer it's been on. To the point its inaudible

I just discovered that my Chromecast is the reason I've been unable to watch movies for the past year. Needless to say I'm very upset. I thought the websites I was streaming my Google Chrome tab from, were the culprit. But recently I realized that in the mornings my TV is always loud, but in the evenings (after it's been on for a while) it becomes so quiet I cannot hear anything.

 

I've triple-checked everything. I've now ONLY unplugged and replugged my Chromecast about 10 times in 2 weeks, and that fixes my audio problems every single time.

 

So many nights have been ruined by this. I've had to settle on watching things on my phone because it's literally louder than my TV. I've had to sync up my computer speakers with the TV's video (which is not easy at all)

 

This is egregious. My gripes with Chromecast are very numerous. I've had Chromecast for over 10 years, and not a SINGLE glitch has ever been fixed. My Chromecast will restart in the middle of use about once a day, and for the life of me I cannot understand what it's updating.

 

To be honest, it's very upsetting. I've been waging complete total war on Google, and Chromecast itself. I spend a few minutes every day telling random groups of people online to never use your products, because I know that's the only satisfaction I'll ever get.

 

Also while I'm here.. please stop forcing me to connect to crappy third party streaming services when I "Cast Tab" from Netflix, YouTube, etc. They all have more glitches than I've been able to count. Again, not a single one of those glitches has EVER been fixed in 10+ years.

 

Shame on you.

Thanks for posting in the Community! Sorry to hear that you’re getting this situation with your Google Chromecast getting quieter every time you use it. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you tried disconnecting and connecting the Chromecast to your Tv. Unfortunately, the issue persisted after troubleshooting. I have reported it axel. Why dont you take it in your hands to do your job? Where I come from we dont go home until the jobs done. I've been a Chromecast customer for at least 15 years. Not ONCE has an issue ever been fixed, despite the daily update/restart.

 

obviously its all a scam but go ahead
