Pixel 8 not connecting to Chromecast

This seems like it might be a common problem. My Pixel 8 is not finding my Chromecast Ultra and other devices. Have restarted everything multiple times. Devices show up on my Pixel in my home app. My Pixel 6 and several other phones have no problem connecting to Chromecast, it's definitely something specifically with my Pixel 8. Thanks for any help anyone can give!

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. Based on your description, it seems that your Chromecast Ultra is working as intended, as you were able to cast using other devices. This might just be related to the settings of your Pixel 8. If you have a VPN setup on this phone, I suggest you turn it off in the meantime. You can give our friends at the Google Pixel Help Community a shout. They may have an answer for this.
