Has always worked casting to Chromecast on TV until last week.
Now it freezes on first screen displayed probably after an upgrade to Home app or Pixel 8 pro s/w.
It's the same on all three Chromecasts I own on different TVs,
My Samsung Pad saved the day that Home app still casts ok.
I've tried all usual reloads reboots etc. to no avail, it needs fixing Google..!!

Problem solved, it appears a new menu has been added to the Home App, and this give the option of casting only one app, which unfortunately I did not see, there is a second option to cast the phone screen .. my fault sorry..

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Based on your description, the Chromecast is still working since you were able to cast using your Samsung tablet. If it’s the actual Chromecast device or its casting function is at fault, then none of the devices will work. I’m glad that you finally sorted this out.
