The Google TV Streamer supports the ALLM function (Auto Low Latency Mode) which is a video mode suitable for playing games.
On the device, we only have to turn ON the "Game mode" option in settings in order to use the feature, provided that the TV where the device is connected also supports the same feature.
The problem lies that the game mode stops working when the Quick Media Switching function is activated on the TV and the only workaround is to turn it off for the game mode to work.
This is happening on an LG QNED TV, however, I also have the Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Generation that also supports both features, and the game mode works correctly when the TV has the Quick Media Switching option activated.
Apps with ALLM support are the Bombsquad game, The Steam Link app, The Moonlight app and the GeForce NOW Cloud Gaming app, I imagine there must be other apps with support as well.
Please escalate this situation to the engineers so they can take a look at the situation.
Thank you.

Note: This is a copy of a similar post made by made but it's locked and I couldn't add a message clarifying that the issue lies on the device and not on the TV as I stated in that post:
As anyone may already know, the Google TV Streamer supports Quick Media Switching since it's an HDMI 2.1b compliant device, however, it seems the implementation is not working correctly, at least on my TV.
I have an Hisense TV with Quick Media Switching support, where I notice some judder while videos play, it happens with all apps I've tested and it affects the 23.976 Hz, 24 Hz, 25 Hz, 29.97 Hz, 30 Hz and 50 Hz (59,94 Hz and 60 Hz are not affected). I also have an LG TV with Quick Media Switching support where I notice similar issues.
It's important to clarify that motion interpolation is turned off in order to observe the issue.
I hope that this is escalated to the appropriate team for visibility, the idea is to improve this feature, since on other devices I tested (such as the Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd generation) I don't see the same issues.
Thanks!.

Hello Gabriela,
Here is the responses to your questions:
Upon testing my new LG TV (55QNED85A 2025 model) where the Google TV Streamer was already setup, I just had to connect it to any of the HDMI ports.
The TV was already setup correctly since it's new.
Not sure what the Google Home app has anything to do but all apps are up to date as always.
The issue is not with a Chromecast device but with the Google TV Streamer and it's connected directly to the router through ethernet.
Yes.
I also reset the Google TV Streamer to factory settings.
Yes but that doesn't make any difference.
