I have an older TV. I like my Chromecast but miss my live programming. Can I connect a ROKU to my TV along with the Chromecast?

In theory, yes, you can do that.
Does your TV have enough HMDI ports to plug them both in at the same time? If so, just plug them both in, set them up, and switch back and forth as needed.
If you don't have enough ports, you can try an HDMI Switch-Box (I got one at Target for about $30 because I have a TV that I need to connect a Chromecast and THREE gaming systems to but the TV only has two HDMI ports). Even though Google does not officially support the use of switch boxes, so far, it's been working great for me.
One other thing to consider, if you don't already have Roku and a live-TV subscription, you should look at YouTube TV. You can get live TV on a Chromecast through that service.
