Dispositivo non attendibile. Impossibile verificare Chromecast.
Dispositivo: Chromecast 2a generazione
Regione: Italia

This appears to be a large scale issue with Chromecast devices no longer being authenticated by Google. Hopefully this is a daylight savings time sync or other quickly addressable issue. Other users are reporting similar problems on Reddit.

There is something oddly beautiful in the connection through lack of connectivity. As frustrating as this is, we can see we are not alone, which is something we tend to forget as we encapsulate ourselves in our bubbles of entertainment.
Now, if we could maintain such connection when the distractions are returned to our immediate environments, that could benefit all of us.

Same. I was literally using my Chromecast Audio this morning to stream Spotify.
I know they ended the product in 2019 and said they'd keep releasing updates until September 2025 but it looks like a TLS security certificate on the device finally expired and they didn't update it to a new one. Unless Google is willing to update the certificate it's trash now... unless Google helps us transition it to the OpenSource community and maintain it ourselves. What a waste.

same issue with my chromecast audio. was using it earlier today, then it showed as offline and i couldn't cast to it. I tried to reset it but now i can't connect, i get an error that 'We couldn't authenticate your chromecast'. the Home Mini that i have still works fine. i tied resetting, clearing cache and storage on the Home app, restarting, multiple times. I do notice that the options when adding a new device in Google Home app look different, only 2 options instead of 3. COuld be a Home app update that went wrong?
