I already restarted my factory device before they gave the statement. Now three days have passed since the certificate error that does not allow us to do anything with our devices.
03-12-2025 09:46 AM
What will happen if I reseted my de ice?
03-12-2025 09:49 AM
2nd gen in working now but chormecast audio is not working yet please fix my problem 😭
03-12-2025 09:49 AM
I was not aware that this was an international issue and have already factory reset my Gen 2 chromecast. What next?
03-12-2025 09:52 AM
With the even older version Chromecast I can still stream Netflix and YouTube, not my tv app Canal+. With the newer, 2 nd generation Chromecast, I cannot stream anything

It’s too late. Had to factory reset and it can’t be recovered now. I had to buy Amazon fire stick. It seems your development team is working for your competitors. What do you expect that people will assume such thing to happen and will wait for your support.

Why is the Google TV not available any longer? We have one and like it better than the cast that currently isn't working
03-12-2025 10:02 AM
Thank you! I have been stressing over 2 of our devices not connecting. Would love to hear back soon!

According to this article, Google has sent out an email to affected Chromecast users. I haven't received it, but at least it sounds like they're trying to do something to communicate.
https://www.theverge.com/news/628194/google-chromecast-second-gen-audio-outage-fix-email
Basically, the email says to keep an eye on this Nest Community page and keep hitting the Refresh button for any informational updates. So we're in the right place.
03-12-2025 10:53 AM
I didn't even receive an email, so lucky you😉
03-12-2025 10:05 AM
Until when we will wait for this issue?
03-12-2025 10:13 AM
I was about to throw my Chromecast Audio out the window after countless attempts to make it work again in the last few days... C'mon Google!! 😆
03-12-2025 10:15 AM
Is there a way to trade it in?
03-12-2025 10:16 AM
När är det problemet löst? Kan ni veta något om när det är åtgärdat? Idag eller i veckan eller helgen? Om en vecka? Tråkigt detta, varit såhär sen i söndags
03-12-2025 10:18 AM
Still waiting for resolution, already factory reset as it states to do on older gen models. I’m troubleshooting directions. Very sad to know google let this happen before even thinking about a resolution
03-12-2025 10:18 AM
J'ai hélas réinitialisé ma chromecast. Si lors du correctif elle ne marche toujours pas, est-il possible d’obtenir un remboursement ou une nouvelle chromecast ? Merci.

Too little too late!
Got the message about "stay tuned for a fix" DAYS after it broke
In the meantime, I just figured Google did what it always does and scrapped another product for no reason so we swapped it out for a Roku device. Way cheaper and it works with dozens of apps no longer ties up my phone for simple TV watching.
Thanks Google for making things easier.
03-12-2025 10:25 AM
Your advice was late for most of us... the first thing we do when a device fails is a reset!
03-12-2025 10:33 AM
I have already done the resetting. After 4 days of research on the web, only now I find this advice.
I hope to receive information soon about the recovery of the chromecast. It had been so frustrating. Thank to whom will help to solve
03-12-2025 10:33 AM
When’s the next update ready.? Can’t connect to either my iPhone or iPad .. Haven't been home for 13 days. Got home yesterday, and experienced this problem before.
03-12-2025 10:37 AM
My cromecast says it is connected to my WiFi, by whenever I’m trying to connect it disconnects and says it’s not responding to my phone or WiFi?
03-12-2025 10:39 AM
Buenas tardes, Lamentablemente ya hice el restablecimiento de fábrica 😩
03-12-2025 10:40 AM
Can you please replace the Chromecast device for a functional model? We have been having issues with the device's performance for months, to the point that we have to find other solutions to stream.
03-12-2025 10:52 AM
My Roku is way older than 10 years and does not stop working. I soon will have to buy another Chromecast.
03-12-2025 10:56 AM
If you have done factory reset you will be back to business by changing the date in your phone to 7.3.2025 and configure the device again!
03-12-2025 11:53 AM
Not the case for me unfortunately
03-12-2025 10:56 AM
Is there an estimated time of when the fix will be applied? Any timeframe at all?
03-12-2025 10:57 AM
newss?
03-12-2025 11:00 AM
WHole world waiting 3 days already? Google Really you need so many time? and what when we already reseted!
03-12-2025 11:00 AM
Thank you. I was going nuts trying to reset everything on my TV to no avail. Made many phone calls to customer supports everywhere. Hope to hear from support here soon.
03-12-2025 11:01 AM
While your at it you want to fix the Gen 1 as well where you made them basically useless by not being able to sign in to them?
03-12-2025 01:16 PM
But the announced, that Gen 1 was discontinued and out of support. Gen 1 was faded out officially after ten years. Gen 2 is supposed to still be working and supported.
03-12-2025 11:01 AM
Restablezcan lo antes posible el sistema.

How can there not be a fix yet? And not even a status of where progress is at now or when a fix can be expected? You have to scower the web to even find this thread? It's been three days. An error that affects millions worldwode and impedes in their daily lives? Google? The Multi-billion-dollar corporation with alledgedly some of the most intelligent employees and most creative thinkers? For a thing that seems like it would be fixed within a few hours?
03-12-2025 11:04 AM
Come on, you look like rookies, it cant take that long to fix it....
03-12-2025 11:04 AM
Still waiting on a fix here guys???? Whays going on, and do you have an estimate on when the chromecast will be functional again please?
03-12-2025 11:10 AM
03-12-2025 11:21 AM
Con Roku esto no sucede
