Hurry up and fix it and reimburse our subscriptions we can't watch because of you 🤬

This is a disaster. The instructions arrive late, and we, the affected parties, lose money by not being able to use something we paid for. Who's going to refund us more than a week's worth of payments from various platforms?

Wow, impressive service, Google! You can't resolve this issue for such a long period of time. We've trusted you and chosen your device, expecting uninterrupted entertainment. Yet, here we are, waiting endlessly for a fix. Makes me wonder how secure I really am with Google

.

Shame on you issue spot on Monday now Thursday

you still sleeping

shame

very lazy response

Just waiting 😏

I already performed a factory reset. Send help

Thank you. My Chromecast is “offline” and I can’t get it to connect to wifi. Is this part of the issue and will it get fixed even though it’s offline?

Question, connected as in online? Because my cast shows that it is offline.

Maybe like other folks, and based on Google recommendation's, I reset my Chromecast Audio on Monday morning GMT+2,   some hours before Google advised not to Factory reset! .... I cant recall there being anything on the packaging, back in 2015,  advising me that security tickets would run out on this product in 2025?  Why wasn't this advice included on the products packaging? ... As far as I was concerned, and up until last Sunday,  this product was purchased for life to be used for life!

Oh man this is nonsense. Of course I already factory reset my device as that's the only quick fix available usually. A mega company like Google should have this resolved before it's ever an issue

How long have this issue been going on

GOOGLE SON DE LO PEOR, HE COMPRADO 4 CHROMECAST Y AHORA ME LOS METO EN LA OREJA, SON UNOS ESTAFADORES, FUERA GOOGLE, VOLVERE CON FIREFOX.

Chromecast model NC2-6A5

I'm ready now

When trying to resolve the problem, I removed the device from Google Home, but power is on and no factory reset done. Will this device be out of scope when the fix is deployed?

Qual previsão para isso ser solucionado?

What is the status here?

Aguardemos!

Hi! I performed a factory reset on one of my devices. Just in case it may help someone, I was able to reconfigure my Chromecast by manually setting my smartphone’s date to a previous date when the issue occurred. Now, my Chromecast is connected to Wi-Fi, and I’m getting the well-known 'Untrusted Device' error—which is actually a good sign since it means the connection was successful.

How long before the problem is sorted

Hi, I've got two 2nd generation chromecast  and having the same issue as everyone else since Sunday night, however I've manage to reconnect 1 of my chromecast to my tablet and WiFi after doing a factory setting on Sunday night  and by  changing the date and time back before the 9th March on my tablet as someone advised on the net...however when I go into my device information it doesn't seem to show the Wi-Fi  name .

I've a solid white dot on the chromecast but I don't know if I'm connected to the WiFi

Any advice would be appreciated

When can we expect an update for those that factory reset their device???

Do still not work did the reset

Cool, I got a fix already: not buying anothergoogle product ever again.  Imagine if this was your car, or stove, or pacemaker?

"Sorry Mr Harrold, your wife died because we built in a redundancy to our gen13 Heart Beatermatic that we really thought would be good for sales, our bad, yo."

"Bad news in Newark today as three thousand cars suddenly lost the ability to use their brakes because Ford decided to code in a revocation of access to their vehicles saying 'Don't you guys have airbags?'..."

Naw, in the 90's a product ceasing to function when the warranty expires was a joke.  Now?  It's clearly a threat.

Still not working as of 3/14/25. This is intolerable.

Found out how to set up it up again, just change your date into March 1 2025 then set up your chromecast using google home like you normally do.

Ps: even if you already set it up, it will still not connect to your netflix or youtube. SO I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL HELP

The device got reset by changing the date on the phone to 08 March 2025 on phone settings. The phone date was later set back to auto. The device is not yet recognised by Apps on the phone. It would help if users could be informed when the update would be available at their location.

so uhh how's this coming along need any help

We that did a factory reset, when will we be able to use our Chromecast again? It is actually advised by you Google, to do a factory reset if the unit isnt working as it should. So, i guess that we that actually followed your advise to factory reset, still will be able to use our units some time soon??

When will this be update??

Gracias

Still facing connecting problem

To offset the many inconveniences caused by the failure, it would not be a bad idea to offer users 4th generation equipment at no cost.

Think about it!

Juanjo.
