03-14-2025 06:57 AM
A mi no me ha funcionado
03-14-2025 07:15 AM
Worked for me using another date, so long as it's before the 9th of March.
Also tried restarting my phone, rebooted my wifi, reinstalled google home, and factory reset my chromecast- again.
One of these eventually helped- just couldn't say which.

Alterar a data do celular ?
03-14-2025 10:40 AM
Yes.
03-14-2025 08:14 AM
Dumb question, it needs to be ON the entire time untill the firmware update from Google kicks in?
03-14-2025 08:21 AM - edited 03-14-2025 08:22 AM
Yes, it needs to be powered on, i.e.: the power cable connected. Don't most people just leave it on all the time anyway?
03-14-2025 08:27 AM
I have it conected to the tv via USB port, that's why my dumb question
03-14-2025 08:46 AM
Not at all a dumb question. And that USB port may or may not be powered when the TV is turned off. I think on most tvs, they are always live whether the TV is on or not.
03-14-2025 04:56 PM
Already did that
03-14-2025 08:24 AM
Will this also work on iPhones? If we temporarily reset the date back? We all have been very patient…
03-14-2025 08:26 AM
Yes, it will work with iPhones.
03-14-2025 08:32 AM
Ok gona try now and let you knw. Ty!
03-14-2025 08:45 AM
Yes but I didn’t get the new firmware. The cc connected to my router so it’s now waiting for the update 😅
03-14-2025 08:49 AM
No ha funcionado. Ha llegado la actualización y no ha pasado del 0%. Ha indicado error de red y sigue averiado. ¿Ahora qué?
03-14-2025 08:58 AM
Done, and it worked. Now waiting for upgrade.🆗
03-14-2025 09:01 AM
Kudos for this post, but for my devices I had to reboot them (unplug power cord, then plug back in). Otherwise the update would not get applied
03-14-2025 09:35 AM
Cela ne fonctionne pas pour moi en France...
03-14-2025 09:51 AM
Thanks! My Chromecast audio is working OK now. (But I did nothing!)
03-14-2025 10:13 AM
Great Sir, working fine now....
03-14-2025 10:16 AM
I had factory reset my chromecast, and this worked for me! It updated and everything, so back to full functionality. Thanks!!
03-14-2025 10:24 AM
I didn't need to change my phone date, which is a bit silly, but my screen is greyed out, still.
03-14-2025 10:29 AM
Johnnyzero2 , my issue was same, solve now thanks to you. but want to know how set 8 march can resetup chrome cast???
03-14-2025 10:38 AM
The cause of this whole problem was an embedded security certificate that expired on March 9th. Setting your phone's date to anything earlier than that "tricks" the Chromecast into thinking that the certificate is still valid.
03-14-2025 10:32 AM
Muito obrigada! Deu certo!

It appears today March 14, 2025 google is pushing these updates harder therefore anybody that reset their device and went through the procedure of resetting up the device by changing the date right now would be a good time to unplug your Chromecast device and then plug it back in that will force a reboot and will likely take the update.

Thank-you so much Johnny. I'm not a very tech savvy lady. Lol I grew up in the dark ages. 🤣 I really really really do Appreciate your kindness. And I do agree with your opinion that Google should pin this info to the top of this page. I only stopped freaking out the moment I tapped on the link you provided for the fix. Again Thanks 😎👍☺️😁

You're very welcome.
03-14-2025 11:37 AM
Eu não restaurei,não mexi e supostamente não recebi a atualização,pois não estou conseguindo conectar por causa do erro que está dando na senha do wi-fi,não está sendo reconhecido.
03-14-2025 11:45 AM

03-14-2025 11:52 AM

03-14-2025 02:23 PM
