My two Chromecast Audio are both up and running again.
Work around for  factory reset by temporarily changing the system date to a date from before “the issue” first manifested itself and reinstalling the device worked also like a charm.

When can we expect to see a fix for us who did the factory reset initially?

Também estou me fazendo essa pergunta

OK estou sem uso.

In your settings date and time

I confirm that one of our devices has been updated and it is working.

The other (we have two in two meeting rooms) not (I hope not... yet!)

Thanks.

Holy Cow! It has been over a week! An update on progress would be in order I would think. Perhaps an ETA? Seems a bit long for a major corporation to fix a problem...

Hello Google Team, when can we except the resolution on the issue? We are still unable to connect to Chromecast 2nd Gen.

Issue resolved by changing the phones date to 01-Mar-2025.  After the Chromecast will be configured, you can change the date to the current day

My Home app sees the Chromecast device but still throws a "Could not communicate" error when trying to setup

Try this step:

Change the date on your smartphone to a date before March 8, 2025. Try redoing the Chromecast 2 setup from Google Home this way.

Ciao

We had that issue too until we uninstalled home and downloaded it again from play store. That solved the issue.

So I did the factory reset. In that case do I need to wait?

Where is the solution PLEASE?

Buenas tardes,

Acabei restaurante as configurações de fábrica... E agora?

Is there an update on the Factory Re-set issue?  Thank you.

Come on! More than a week to fix this? Please, put more effort into this task, it's annoying thousands of people...

Eu redefini o meu Chromecast

I performed rhe reset before I saw this. What do I do?
