What happened with chromecast??
We are waiting 10 days!!!
03-17-2025 07:47 AM
any update if you´ve performed the factory reset on chromecast?
03-17-2025 08:43 AM
You just need to change manually the date of the device youre using to connect to Chromecast
Change manually the date of your phone to 1st of March, then go to Google Home and add the Chromecast, follow the steps as usual and after the Chromecast update, you will be able to use the device
03-17-2025 07:48 AM
Is this done rolling out?
My Chromecast audio remains connected to Wi-Fi (white I dictator light) but not available to cast to.
03-17-2025 07:50 AM
Do you have any date for roll out the fix its been weeks we are facing the issue
03-17-2025 07:54 AM
When update will be rolled out? Google taking long time to fix issue. This is second Google product affected this year. Pixel4a mobile due to battery update . My phone was working fine but battery update ruined everything. Now chromcast also suffered glitch. Should we trust Google or opt for other brands?
03-17-2025 07:57 AM
Set your phone date before 6 of March and connect to your device. It will then update your Chromecast. Remember to set date back again
03-17-2025 08:14 AM
Hmm how do you reset for cell phone date back?
03-17-2025 08:00 AM
My device was connected now it says it is offline. What do I do?
03-17-2025 08:06 AM

03-17-2025 08:10 AM
Any updates? It has been since last Thursday since any new update has been given. Thank you.
03-17-2025 08:03 AM
I’ve had my Chromecast unplugged. When did you send out the update? I just plugged it back in and I still can’t connect to it. My Chromecast keeps making its own network instead of connecting to my Wi-Fi. What can I do? Should I leave it plugged in and you’re gonna send out another one or do you need to send me directions on how to make it work
03-17-2025 08:10 AM
Timeline for those who factory reset their devices?
03-17-2025 08:29 AM

Got my factory resetted Chromecast Audio working by setting my phones date to 1st of March and then reconnecting the Chromecast. It got upadated and now it works again. Google's communication is terrible, why won't they just post this procedure to fix your device. Unbeliveable...

Dai un'occhiata alle varie risposte. Segui le indicazioni di modificare temporaneamente la data del telefono (a prima del 8/3/2025) e riconfigurare il chromcast. Per me ha funzionato
03-17-2025 09:05 AM
After changing my phone’s date to 01-Mar-2025, I was able to connect to Chromecast. And reconfigure the Chromecast again.
try it, it works
