Hi folks,

Thank you for your patience as we worked to resolve the issue with Chromecast (2nd gen) and Chromecast Audio devices. As of today, this disruption has been fixed.

If your device is not on the corresponding firmware version, please try rebooting your device to start the update process.

The app roll out has begun and may take a few days to roll out to everyone. We’ll post a confirmation once the roll out to all users is complete.

We sincerely apologize for this disruption and any inconvenience it may have caused, and we are committed to ensuring all users are back up and running as quickly as possible.

I changed the date of the phone to March 1st:
Connection OK
Firmware update OK
Restored and working.
Thanks!!

Thank you. I had reset the chromecast as well. Changing phone date back to 1-March did the trick in setting up > Update > Evrything works now

Did you first change the date on your phone and then did a factory reset on chromcast device? Thanks for helping

Can you please explain how you change the date on your phone?

I did this and it updated and I was able to reset it up or do it said. But then I hit the same message that it can’t see my tv and asks if my iPhone and tv are on the same WiFi and both connected. They are and still doesn’t work. I had hope for a brief moment.

Change device back to 8 March, and reconnect. It's fooling it. It does an update

Then I changed my device date back.

This definitely works. I wish I'd tried this before the weekend.

Thank you! You are my hero!

Worked for me too, changed date on the phone I used for set up back to auto after my chromecast audio was set up again and everything is as it was.  Thanks!

A me ora funziona👍🏼
